​All Prices in US Dollars. Prices include New Zealand Goods and Services Tax.
​Packages include Hunter’s accommodation, all meals, beer and wine, transfers from and to Christchurch International Airport or any Christchurch hotel, all transport to and from hunting destinations, helicopter transport into and out of public land hunting areas and camps when required, field trophy skinning and care, photography, permits, trophy fees and the services of an experienced professional hunting guide. 

We average a 95%+ success rate on our Red Stag, Tahr and Chamois hunts. In the rare case of a hunter not securing their booked trophy, we deduct NZ$2000 from the hunt package final payment. (Private land Rifle hunts only - this does not apply to bow hunts or public land helicopter drop off hunts).

Booking Deposits
We take a 10% deposit to secure your booking.

Helicopter Charges
While most of our hunts are on private wilderness land where helicopter transport is not required; should a hunter specifically request to hunt public land, helicopter transport will be required.
All helicopter transport costs for flights into and out of public land hunting camps are included in our package and combination hunt prices. This differs from most New Zealand outfits who do not include helicopter transport costs in their hunt pricing but will add the helicopter charges on to the bill at the end of the hunt. This can cause unexpected and sometimes considerable additional charges on top of the hunt price. Remember – All helicopter costs are included in our public land package and combination hunt prices. 
While a helicopter is usually not required on our private land hunts - if a hunter wishes to use a helicopter on a private land hunt, the helicopter will be charged at the current standard hourly rate.

Trophy Fees for additional animals: 
Additional animals can be hunted on any of the package or combination hunts. The following fees apply only for any additional animals hunted over and above the booked package or combination:   

• Additional Chamois -     $4000
• Additional Tahr -         $4000
• Additional Red Stag -    $4000  
• Fallow Buck - Representative Trophy Buck - $4000. Monster Buck - $5000
  
• Trophy Wild Boar (opportunity basis) - $1500
• Smaller wild pig (opportunity basis) - $500

Wallaby or small game hunting - (Wallaby and Hare)
1 hunter - $1200 per day including ammunition (Unlimited hunting – no trophy fee). 
2 hunters - $1600 per day including ammunition (Unlimited hunting - no trophy fee).

Game bird hunting - (When in season)
1 hunter - $1200 per day including ammunition and licence fee
2 hunters - $1600 per day including ammunition and licence fee 
(Generous bag limits – no trophy fee)

Non Hunting Companion Daily Rate - $150 per day.

- Rates do not include – Trophy packaging and shipping or taxidermy.

Health & Safety Policy
James Cagney’s New Zealand Hunting Adventures operate under a comprehensive Health and Safety Plan. We are a member of the New Zealand Professional Hunting Guides Association, our Health and Safety Plan is endorsed by the Association. We operate within and abide by the various laws, regulations and compliance requirements that our business is subject to.
The safety of our clients and staff is our highest priority. Our staff are trained and experienced in the full range of hunting and outdoor skills, including firearms safety, and wilderness travel and safety. We strive to maintain our 100% safety record.
Disclosure of Risk 
All of our guided hunting trips  involve risks and danger which are inherent to hunting and wilderness travel, including but not limited to hazards of traveling by motorised vehicles, by helicopter or fixed wing aircraft, boats, horseback and on foot in mountainous terrain; hazards of using firearms and ammunition, hazards of being exposed to the elements of nature and extreme weather; hazards of being and traveling in remote wilderness areas, falls, rockfall, avalanche, high winds, rising streams and rivers and isolation in remote country; hazards arising from accident, acts of God, illness and forces of nature.

All of our clients are required to sign a risk disclosure, acknowledging their acceptance of the risk inherent in the planned hunting activities prior to commencement of the hunt.
